Foster in your children the love of writing and you will give in them a valuable strategy that they can use during times of hardship. Writing down anxious thoughts gets those thoughts out of the head and on to a page and creates distance between your child and the cause of their anxiety. The encourage them to subscribe to the idiom 'out of sight out of mind' and put their written thoughts in a locked drawer and encouarge them to give it a week or so before opening it again and they may well find that another idiom 'this too shall pass' has come to fruition. #writedownyourthoughts #writedownyourworries #childrenandwriting #writingastherapy
